Federal Minister Hamad Azhar has hinted at more difficulties regarding the worst gas crisis. Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar has said that in the past gas connections were provided on political grounds, now the demand for gas in the country is increasing day by day. Alternative sources will be needed to balance the supply and demand of energy.

He said that if the relentless use of gas was not stopped, severe problems could be faced. It has nothing to do with the import of LNG. It is to be noted that the gas crisis has intensified across the country including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan and Hyderabad. She used to come, but now she has stopped coming, due to which people are facing severe difficulties. Due to the gas cut-off, the prices of wood and gas cylinders have skyrocketed.

There is severe shortage of gas in most parts of Karachi. In Lyari, gas has been in short supply for the last four months due to which residents of the area are forced to burn wood. Residents of the area said that cough and eye diseases have increased due to smoke. After further increase in the intensity of gas pressure in most areas of Lahore, gas has completely disappeared in some areas.

According to sources, the gas shortfall in the city has exceeded 1500 million cubic feet. If gas supply is not ensured, they will close their mills and take to the streets. Rawalpindi Gas crisis has also intensified in Islamabad. ۔
