Wellington: Tsunami warning continues after earthquake in New Zealand
According to New Zealand media, the magnitude of the earthquake on the Karma Dak Islands early Friday morning was recorded at 7.1 on the Richter scale, with the epicenter at a depth of 10 km.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami warning for coasts within 300 kilometers of the epicenter in the South Pacific.
So far no loss of life or property has been reported from the earthquake.
